A Year of Candles includes a small card explaining which candle to burn each month, along with a short explanation of why that fragrance has been chosen to pair with that month.

Place candle in an upright position on a secure, heat resistant surface. Never leave a burning flame unattended. Keep candle away from flammable materials, sources of heat, overhanging objects and polished surfaces.
Do not move candles when lit or if the wax is still liquid. We advise not burning the final 1cm of wax as this could result in the container becoming very hot. However, if you do so, please use additional heat protection beneath the candle. If the flame exceeds 2cm in height or begins to soot, extinguish the candle, allow to cool and solidify, then trim the wick and relight.
Always trim wick to 5mm prior to lighting. Burn for 4 hours maximum at a time. Keep the wax pool clear of matches and other debris to avoid flaring. Snuff out flame. Do not blow out.

Our candles are suitable for vegans as we do not use any animal products to make them.
Our eco-conscious credentials include:
• small scale, in-house manufacturing
• using a mixture of natural plant-based wax and wax made from waste products of other industries
• using minimal additional packaging, over 90% of which is recyclable
• waste from our workshop is sorted and recycled wherever possible
• using the UK's greenest parcel delivery firm based on average emissions per parcel
How long will my candle last?
Our 200g candles will last between 35 - 40 hours, depending on how, where and when you burn them. Considering our prices versus similarly sized independent businesses, Thomas Street offers excellent value for money.
