Fragrance Notes
Fragrances are also categorised within different families for their distinctive properties, whether it's bright, fresh notes of citrus, rich fruity tones or delicate floral scents.
(Did you know that a fragrance that reminds you of food is called a gourmand?)
Rich and earthy, woods typically form the base note of a fragrance, reinforcing and lifting all of the other elements.
Among the oldest ingredients in perfumery, citruses like lemongrass, orange and bergamot give fragrances a bright, refreshing quality.
Our gourmand candles smell so good you might want to eat them (please don't). Whether it's indulgent black cherry or sweet notes of vanilla, these fragrances are guaranteed to make your mouth water.
Flowers are a diverse source of fragrance notes, from heady violets to the more delicate nuances of ylang-ylang and rose. Our range draws on a range of floral inspiration.
These scents draw on the quality of rich, ripe fruits like grapes, berries and pomegranate; full of depth and sweetness.
Also closely related to food, spices include familiar notes such as clove, cinnamon as well as more nuanced fragrances like pink pepper.
From lush leaves to freshly-cut grass, the verdant family includes all notes that provide a lively green quality.
Based on a quality rather than group of ingredients, our fresh fragrances are reminiscent of things like sea water, fresh air, clean laundry or a good walk.
